About the Role:
BURN is looking for a Quality Technician in Malawi who will be responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards through inspections, testing, and process monitoring.
They will be in charge of identifying defects or deviations, reporting findings, and collaborate with production teams to address issues. Additionally, they maintain accurate documentation of quality control processes and assist in continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the technical documents required for production meet document control and revision requirements.
- Analyze data to identify trends in product quality or defects to mitigate and prevent recurrence and future defects.
- Identify root causes of problems in the production process; recommend and/or implement corrective measures.
- Conduct an audit on jigs, tools, and equipment to ensure they are calibrated and up to date.
- Ensure that products meet the organization, customers’ quality, and product integrity requirements.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Identify possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
Skills and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing industry.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience in conducting process audits under QMS will be an added advantage.
