About the role
The Global Head of Quality Systems is a senior leadership role responsible for defining, governing, and continuously improving BURN’s global quality strategy. The role ensures that all products manufactured and distributed by BURN consistently meet internal quality standards, regulatory and safety requirements, and customer expectations across all markets.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Global Quality Strategy & Leadership
    • Develop, implement, and continuously refine global quality strategies aligned with BURN’s business objectives, growth plans, and risk profiles.
    • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to quality teams across all BURN production entities to ensure consistent application of quality standards and practices.
    • Act as the global authority on quality matters, advising senior leadership on quality risks, performance, and improvement priorities.
    • Build a strong quality culture that emphasizes prevention, ownership, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement.
 
  • Quality Management System (QMS)
    • Oversee the global implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of BURN’s Quality Management System (QMS).
    • Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant industry and regulatory standards across all sites.
    • Lead internal audits, external audits, certifications, and management reviews, ensuring timely closure of findings and corrective actions.
    • Define and monitor key quality performance indicators (KPIs) and report regularly to executive leadership.
 
  • Product Quality & Manufacturing Excellence
    • Establish and maintain global product quality standards to ensure consistent product performance, safety, and reliability.
    • Ensure robust quality controls across all stages of manufacturing, including incoming inspection, in-process controls, and final product release.
    • Partner with Engineering and Operations to drive process capability improvements, defect reduction, and yield optimization.
    • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities through quality planning, risk assessments, validation, and pilot builds.
    • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) for manufacturing and product quality issues.
 
  • Supplier Quality Management
    • Define and oversee global supplier quality requirements, approval processes, and performance metrics.
    • Lead supplier qualifications, audits, scorecards, and ongoing performance management in collaboration with Procurement and Supply Chain teams.
    • Drive supplier corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, variability, and supply risk.
 
  • Compliance, Regulatory & Risk Management
    • Ensure all quality assurance processes comply with regional and international regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements.
    • Maintain compliance with applicable industry certifications and standards across all operating regions.
    • Identify quality and compliance risks and implement mitigation plans.
    • Ensure accurate, complete, and auditable quality records and documentation
 
  • Capability & Continuous Improvement
    • Build organizational capability in quality tools, methodologies, and problem-solving.
    • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies, to improve quality, cost, and efficiency.
Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience, with at least 3 years in senior quality management position.
  • Proven experience leading quality functions in multi-site or high-volume manufacturing operations.
  • Strong background in QMS implementation (e.g., ISO 9001) and audit management.
  • Experience with supplier quality management and global supply chains.
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, quality tools, and risk management.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and bias for action.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
