About the role
BURN is looking for a Finance and HR Officer who will hold a hybrid role that involves responsibilities related to both finance and human resources within an organisation.

BURN is looking for a Finance and HR Officer who will hold a hybrid role that involves responsibilities related to both finance and human resources within an organisation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support in collating data required for accounting and tax filing.
- Ensure that all documents have the relevant approvals before forwarding for payment.
- Maintain records of VAT invoices to support reporting to the revenue authority.
- Ensure all supporting documentation (including tax-compliant invoices) is available and filed correctly.
- Reconciliation of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Reconciliation of B2C sales vs cash received and banked.
- Reconciliation of stock flow report, sales reported, and sales posted in the system.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of the audit process when necessary.
- Support with general tax, VAT and withholding tax filing.
- Identify and address discrepancies on purchase invoices and receipts shared.
- Support HR in the preparation of employee payroll, benefits and compensation package.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
- Assist employees with HR questions, escalating to Group HQ where needed
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to Finance and HR.
- Any other tasks as requested by the line manager and/or senior management.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a business environment, with at least 3 years in finance, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience with payroll processing and HR Administration (Preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. E
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to finance and HR. E
- Fluency in Malagasy + French + English.
