The Junior Marketing Officer will support the marketing team in the planning, execution, and optimization of our marketing efforts, both online and offline. The ideal candidate will have a passion for marketing and a keen interest in learning and growing in this dynamic field.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Marketing Campaigns: Assist in the development, execution, and monitoring of marketing campaigns across various channels.
- Research & Competitor Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new opportunities. Regularly analyze competitor offerings, sales strategies, and marketing tactics to provide actionable insights.
- Content Creation: Support in creating content for social media channels and other marketing platforms.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to align sales and marketing strategies.
- Digital Marketing: Help in the development of digital messaging across all brands within BURN’s portfolio.
- Social Media: Monitor social media platforms for ongoing campaigns, and customer feedback with regards to our products.
- Market Visits: Regularly visit markets or retail locations to gather insights, understand consumer behaviour, and monitor brand presence. Provide feedback based on market visits.
- Reports: support in the generation of monthly marketing activity reports.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors or agencies, when necessary.
- Marketing Department Finance tracking: track marketing budget spend per country as well as weekly cash sheet.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in marketing is a plus, but not required.
- Strong understanding of basic marketing principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to travel as required for market visits.
- Analytical mindset and critical thinking.
- Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and team management skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
