About the role:
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Grants Manager, with demonstrated experience in fast-paced and international environments handling a portfolio of multiple complex grants. This role is critical for overseeing the entire grants process from the contracting stage to close-out, including compliance, and reporting efforts.
The Senior Grants Manager will collaborate closely with internal departments and external stakeholders in the public, development and private sector space. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence in managing intricate projects in dynamic settings and will be recognized for their professionalism, problem-solving skills and interpersonal and communication skills.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage a wide range of grants simultaneously in a fast-paced, demanding environment  
  • Develop plans, ensure timely completion of milestones and maintain complete project documentation
  • Spearhead stakeholder meetings to identify and resolve challenges and ensure successful delivery. 
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks and come up with solutions, keeping the supervisor informed of any potential issues with contractual obligations.
  • Manage the close-out process, ensure required documents are developed, and manage the overall close-out timeline and initiate upselling and cross-selling. 
Skills and Experience
  • At least eight (10) years of grant management experience in an international, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated project management experience related to implementing and managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated capacity to think strategically, to lead and work within diverse teams, and to work in multi-cultural settings with a high degree of independence.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in a high-demand environment with competing priorities.
  • Strong project management, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with grants databases, CRM systems (preferably Zoho), and grant tracking systems is desirable.
  • Excellent skills in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
